Sandy lives near Thedford with her husband Tony of 35 years by the
Middle Loup River and a couple of fishing ponds. Their two sons and their wives visit
often and bring the grandbabies so they can be spoiled properly.
When she takes time away from
helping Tony with his businesses and keeping his books, Sandy enjoys community development
and is certified in grant writing and fund raising management from The Center on
Philanthropy at Indiana University.
Besides serving on the NACT
Board as the Region V Representative and managing this web site, she is the
Development & Compliance Director of Central Nebraska Habitat for Humanity, that
includes 34 counties in the center of the state. She has also served as the
Information/Education Coordinator for the Upper Loup Natural Resource District.
Theatre has always been a big
part (no pun intended) of her life. She's performed extensively in Stapleton, Thedford and
Broken Bow. She's a member of the Broken Bow Pantomime Players and three of the plays she
has written have been produced, two of which took honors at NACTFest. Besides writing
plays Sandy also loves working on costuming, set and directing nearly as much as acting.
