Margaret received her BA in Theatre and English from Hastings College in 1988. She completed her MAT degree in 1995. She has worked as an adjunct in the English Dept. at Hastings College since 1996. Since 1999 she has served as the director for the YWCA Theatre for Kids program.

She has just recently been named as an eligible artist in the Nebraska Arts Council AiS/C program for 2003-2004. Her most recent stage work has been as the director for HCT's NACT competition production of "The Guys", which represented Nebraska at the regional festival in Rochester, Minnesota. She was also named as the participating artist for HCT's Building Abilities program funded by the NE Arts Council. Her stage appearances include HCT, Hastings College, the Piccadilly Dinner Theatre and Brownville Village Theatre.
